I made a poll on LinkedIn and out of 22 Votes, 14 of those were a resounding yes, business cards are still relevant.

While many aspects of business have become digitized, exchanging physical business cards remains a professional and effective way to make connections and share contact information.

Business cards provide a tangible representation of your brand and can help you make a memorable first impression. They can also help you stand out in a crowded digital landscape, where people are inundated with electronic communications.

Additionally, business cards can be a useful tool for networking in situations where digital communication is not practical or appropriate, such as at conferences or social events.

Here are some samples from my business card portfolio:

There are several benefits to using business cards:

Professionalism: A well-designed business card can convey a sense of professionalism and legitimacy that digital communication may not always achieve.

Convenience: Business cards are small and portable, making them easy to carry around and distribute. They are also less likely to be misplaced than digital contacts.

Personal Touch: A physical business card provides a personal touch that digital communication may not always achieve. It allows for a brief face-to-face interaction, which can help establish a connection and leave a lasting impression.

Branding: Business cards can serve as a powerful branding tool, as they can feature a company logo and other branding elements that help establish and reinforce a company’s brand identity.

In short, while digital communication has certainly changed the way we interact and exchange information, physical business cards continue to play an important role in networking and building professional relationships.
